‘To consume, you must produce.’
There are far too many secrets hiding in plain sight. One person cannot bear them all. Maybe that’s why places like el Bulli can no longer exist. The secrets snowball with great momentum, requiring excessive manpower to merely contain, let alone control them.
I was torn between wanting to hug my television for this or throw it against a terribly staunch surface, knowing that this pinnacle is so very very far away from us commoners. This seems otherworldly. A compound hidden away on a paradise, next to a weather beaten putt-putt, filled with obsessive experiments and wonders we’ll only get to imagine through a screen and bewildered eye-rolling headshakes.
But if this is a reflection of the peak, we should be gracious for the glimpse. The few that have come out wiser for it.
